This warm, glowing interior is designed to act as a beacon of light in the cozy Pacific Northwest forest and a striking contrast to the home's monolithic black exterior. I worked closely with the core and shell architect to plan every detail of this family of four's forever home, which perfectly suits their needs for entertaining, hosting guests, creating family-focused spaces, and fostering a strong connection to the outdoors. The finish palette was driven by the desire to create a minimal, timeless backdrop for the family's eclectic collection of furniture and artwork. Warm whites and bright ash wood tones are grounded by earthy terracotta and burnished brass accents.
