This conceptual project was a study in creating a retail space that is highly functional for the brand and design-forward, thoughtfully curated, and meticulously detailed. Located in a historic building in downtown Portland, planning began with the assumption that Aesop's products would be the main focus, while the vintage building's bones needed to shine. Inspired by Aesop's brand, contemporary geometric forms and patterns are softened by earthy textures and thoughtful details. A minimal, sophisticated palette ensures the architectural interventions don’t compete with product display.
